Walking Dead Creator ROBERT KIRKMAN and Chew creator were both nominated for BEST COMIC BOOK at the 2010 SCREAM AWARDS. There could only be one man taking down the trophy and the honors went to Kirkman, who was also nominated for Best Comic Writer as well.
The Spike Awards is the premiere event that honors the best and brightest in Genre Entertainment: from Comics, to Television, to Movies. The very best of Sci Fi, Horror, and Fantasy are represented from vampire fiction like TRUE BLOOD and TWILIGHT, to Spandex heroes like KICK ASS and IRON MAN, to Scary Movies such as PARANORMAL ACTIVITY and ZOMBIELAND, to mind blowing blockbusters like AVATAR and INCEPTION.
While you can watch the Spike Scream Awards on Wednesday October 27 on cable TV, you can check out the nominees here- http://www.spike.com/event/scream/page/vote/category/39514/best-comic-book
